I started this weightloss journey in January 2004 and lost 20kg in the first year. Then in 2005 I had lost another 7kg before suffering a miscarriage and I struggled to get back on track. This blog was a fresh start for me to help me reach my final goal. And just as things were settling down, I fell pregnant again in March 2006 and gave birth to a healthy baby girl in November. Now my main aim is to finish the good work I started and become a healthy mummy to my 2 girls.

Officially overdue

Well now I am officially 6 hours and 56 mins overdue! I thought I would wait until my visit with the midwife yesterday before updating and then got so busy last night that I forgot, sorry if I panicked anyone.

Yesterdays visit was a waste of time. She did the same old checks and told me if I don't have bubs before next Tuesday I come back and then they make my appointment for induction, maybe 1-2 days later.

So on the good side, I should have bubs by the end of next week. The bad side, next Saturday 25th is Bethany's dance recital. If I don't have bubs till Thursday, I'm gonna have to try to get out of hospital by Saturday morning.

I told the midwife this and she was really nice, one of the nicest I have had this whole time. We went through some natural ways of trying to get things started (sex, curry, walking) and I mentioned raspberry leaf and she said to definately give that a go. Then she said she would recommend me to come back on Friday instead of Tuesday and that way they could book me in on Monday or Tuesday and I would be out in time. Unfortunately as this appointment is with a GP not a midwife, the receptionist refused to do it, saying that no doctor would see me or do anything until I was 41 weeks, not 40weeks 3days. So I am going to ring up Friday and make my appointment for Monday, sure 1 day early won't hurt, then maybe I can be booked in for Wednesday and that would be better.

But then again, hopefully it all happens naturally before then anyhow. I went and bought some raspberry leaf tablets and I have to take 2 pills, 2 times a day. I took my first lot last night and believe it or not have had little cramping pains since 3.30am so maybe it IS doing something. I mean for something to happen after just 2 pills is plain ridiculous, but maybe after today and tomorrow, you never know.

So there you go, that's my progress at this stage. If anything does change I will let you know and if I can't get to a computer first, I'll leave my details with my sister and get her to update for me.

Fingers crossed something happens soon.
