I started this weightloss journey in January 2004 and lost 20kg in the first year. Then in 2005 I had lost another 7kg before suffering a miscarriage and I struggled to get back on track. This blog was a fresh start for me to help me reach my final goal. And just as things were settling down, I fell pregnant again in March 2006 and gave birth to a healthy baby girl in November. Now my main aim is to finish the good work I started and become a healthy mummy to my 2 girls.

Bargin anyone?

Well after my disasterous run-in on Ebay, I seem to have had a little luck.

Firsty I found a lady on Ebay here in WA selling a maternity jacket(I have no jackets that currently fit and I'm freezing). I won it on Wednesday night for $25 and went to pick it up today and it's absolutely gorgeous. It is brand new and here is the picture she posted on Ebay. It looks identical to the picture and I just love it.

I have always wanted a long jacket and finally have one.

Another good thing about it is she looked at me and said I needed the size 14(made me feel good considering I am 24 weeks) and got me to try it on. It fit but I wanted a little more room around the bust so went for the size 16(she makes them in sizes 8-16).

My second bargin for the week came out of our local classified paper. I found a lady selling an 18 month old wooden change table for $50. I went to look at it and it was perfect and in great nick. I bought it straight away.

We went in to Target today and they were selling an identical one for $179 with no inlay and no security strap so was quite pleased with myself.

So now we have everything but a cot and we won't need that until about 3 months after the baby is born so we have plenty of time to scout around for another bargin. Now it's time to get the room set up and sorted. I just remembered I do need a chest of drawers for all the clothes, and a nice set of curtains but that's it. When I cleaned up the room yesterday to fit the table in, Bethany came in and said "Oh, now I think the baby will fit", she says the funniest things sometimes.

So that's been my last few days. Have started getting some serious pelvic pains over the last couple of days. It's like the baby has a hammer down there and is banging the centre of my pelvic bone, so am trying to take it as easy as possible. If it keeps up, I might have to mention it at my next appointment because coupled with my constant back pain, it is making life a bit difficult at the moment.
